Lewis and Associates, PA (Now The Scott Lewis Law Firm) was founded by Jerome (Jerry) Lewis RIP 2014. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1955. Jerry attended the University of Minnesota Law School and graduated in 1957. he worked with the Metro Transit Bus Company for fifteen years as a trial attorney achieving the status of Vice President of the Legal Department.

Throughout the 1960’s, Jerry also was an adjunct professor at William Mitchell School of Law. Since 1972, he has practiced exclusively criminal defense with an emphasis on

Jerry gained acquittals in both State and Federal Court for hundreds of clients over his fifty four year career. He was extremely well known throughout the legal community by Judges, Prosecutor’s, Defense Attorneys, as well as all Court Personal. Some of Jerry’s partners and collegues are now sitting Judge’s throughout the State of Minnesota. He had a reputation of being one of the original Premier Criminal Defense Attorney‘s, with an emphasis on Drug and DWI Cases.

Jerry had negotiated hundreds of favorable settlements for his clients over his extensive career. He has a very broad range of knowledge of criminal law, including the development of current trends in criminal law throughout the numerous years of his practice.

Jerry lived in Minneapolis. His hobbies included traveling, as well as spending time with his four grandchildren.
